The sea was choppy yesterday in the palace grounds...

You are right, this could be the sea, nice e deceptive framing. May I post a quieter picture of the same place? Another fourth post...

Yikes! Moody shots! Eerie, even. Especially the second one with those poor gulls or ducks or whatever water fowl they are surrounded by sharks!

I'll bet it was cold, too!

A viewer could have no idea where the top photo was take - the basins of Versailles, the middle of the Pacific or the Mississippi river. It's universal.

dark cold stark image. I like it a lot in its contrast to your usual light, warm photos of food, fountains and fun!

I thought it was the sea. Interesting photo for a landlocked location!

It looks cold and miserable. Black headed gulls in their winter plumage.

Oooo very cold looking. The old pilings behind the gulls look like shark fins. Are sharks stalking the poor birds for lunch? MB

The waves look very artistic in deed

Tres joli.
Bonne semaine!

I wouldn't mind if some of the sky rats... I mean pigeons drowned! ;-)

I'm surprised Louis never thought to build his own. He sure seemed to think of everything else.

Well, it's a good thing there weren't any boats or windsurfers out, by that storm!

It does indeed look cold and windy. I'm always amused that gulls all turn and face into the wind. I guess it keeps their feathers smooth.

Salut,
