What a contrast to the prefecture in Paris (Ile de la Cité) where we have spent untold hours renewing our cartes de séjour every year. (But that's all behind us now. Our new "home" is the prefecture in Tours.)
What's cool about this photo is that there is so much to see beyond the trees. The same view in summer would be blocked by all the leaves on the trees. No doubt it would be pretty, but this scene shows the bare bones of a city scene.

It does look wet and disagreeable!
That's a lovely picture, it could only be Paris/Versaille, there's a lot of atmosphere in that capture.I bet it would make a great black and white...
Looks like a very nice day to be indoors. BTW, like that little red car. :-)
A bit dreary, but still a pretty shot.
Despite the rain, it still looks quite lovely to me.
We all need it, if not as much as we've had recently. Quiet, subdued tone to this.

Oh how I would love to be actually looking at this view Ciel :) Super image.
I love the view out the window.
Hey, the grass is still green and there's no snow. What's going on?

Lousy weather... but not too bad for January!
What a great view, rain or shine.
It looks like winter so I love it.
I really like the shades of golden tans and greys in this photo.
Rain, rain, rain. Still pretty.
