In March 2014, the place looked wild, it was here. These photos were taken at the end of May. They represent a small part of the brand new Water Theatre Grove in the palace gardens. The grove was originally designed by André Le Nôtre and after an international competition aimed at garden designers for the restoration of the Water Theatre grove, landscape designer Louis Benech and artist Jean-Michel Othoniel were chosen for their contemporary art project that reminds of the brilliant feasts that kings held in the gardens. It's modern but still classy and VDP loves it! To see two short videos, click here.
Beautiful against that dark brooding sky, I like it :)
Very artistic...I like it!
Marvelous, Ciel! I liked the videos too.
Interesting that in the 2nd video I couldn't understand the one guy at all while the other one I could catch the drift of what he was saying.
I am so sorry we were there to early to see this. There will be a next time, won't there?
It is quite handsome, Ciel.
Does it light up at night?
Your word "wild" is the mot juste here!
It looks like a sea serpent.
There is something quite cheerful and uplifting about this! I like it.
What a wonderful collaboration! Your shot is beautiful against that dark sky.
Those are really dramatic looking images, a real 'performance' by the fountains!
un ciel qui met bien en valeur les jets d'eau
It was worth the wait, it is more stunning than I thought it could be.
Looks like a water gun fight. :-)
It is really nice... but 'art project' make me laugh!
On la j'adore! how spectacular it is Ciel, as Dina said, like a writhing sea serpent! We were on the same theme today :)
Eine wilde Wasserschlange?
Schaut gut aus !
Quite dramatic skies for that water feature!
A festival. A feast for the eyes. I would love to see this in person. That last photo is especially entertaining what with those dark clouds in the sky - it appears they are threatening the water spectacle!
It definitely looks dramatic!
It does look pretty cool in action... sort of Disney-like.
What a wonderful display!
autant je déteste les pseudo sculptures autant j'aime ces perles de verres
It's magical!
Amazing and so eye-catching!
