Remember when VDP showed you the Tardis bicycle garage? It was here. Well, it has looked like this for quite a while now! That's Sébastien Le Prestre, marquis de Vauban, known simply as Vauban, the foremost military engineer of his age. He is also remembered at nearby Vauban primary school, VDP had shown you its door here.

original comme protecteur des vélos des versaillais . c'est plus sympa qu'une publicité quelconque
A bicyclist, I guess? :-)
That is the poshest cycle garage ever, so stylish....
I have never seen a bicycle garage before. It would be a great idea here since we have so many college kids riding bikes around town. This one looks nice.
Better than ours. Ours are just plain boxes.
bonne idée !
I prefer this version of the garage. Although Vauban might have wanted to protect it with a fortified wall around it.
Love the close-up you've rendered for us.
I've never seen such a contraption, it's brilliant and very nice looking.
M Vauban is well remembered Ciel and rightly so :)
I like the new look with a more historic frame of reference.
I just scheduled a post of a statue of Vauban in Paris...
That's a very elegant looking place to park your bike!
The only cycle garages we see here tend to be caged structures with locks.
It looks quite civilized!
Sympa, très versaillais
That's one cool bicycle garage.
How cool that the look has changed so much! I like the idea of a bicycle garage. Seems so sensible!
Ooooops! I thought it was a public toilet. ;-)
