This bust of king Louis XVI by Augustin Pajou was given to the city of Versailles by the king in 1790 when things had turned rather sour for him and is kept at Lambinet Museum. The king was guillotined 222 years and two days ago. More Weekend Reflections are this way! So sorry for not being able to visit your blogs yesterday, VDP was out and about until...umm... rather late!

Nice bust, nice reflection. He reminds me of a Baptist preacher I once knew. So you were out having a good time, heh? Hmm...my imagination is working overtime!
Party, party, party! :-)
The King's looking suitably regal!
I really like that 1st pic. What a lovely bright museum that is, Ciel!
Marvelous reflection.
That reflects well on Louie. Good shot.
Never good to lose 'lose your head'... interesting that it was exactly 222 years and 2 days ago, wonder if it occurred at 22.00hrs too?!? That' a LOT of 2's(toos)
I like the reflection in the first photo, but the perspective of the floor in the second one is even better!
Right royal reflections Ciel :) love the chequered floor, reminds me of my kitchen floor, only my kitchen floor is much smaller :)
Well, at least he makes an handsome bust.
I can't do the late night thing anymore, especially during the week. It makes me feel like Louis :-o
very cool! looks like my type of place to visit
The longer I look the more reflections I see. The bottom photo is full of reflections. Nice!
He looks like such a nice guy. I can't imagine why anyone would want to take his head off.
Hope you enjoyed your hard partying!
Fantastic place. Wonderful reflections. Have a great weekend
Great reflection - I hope you were out and about doing something fun!
He has such a kind-looking face. Such a sad ending to his life!
