6 ans ! A vous de jouer !

Au bord du Canal Versalis Vice Versailles
Today VDP is six years old. VDP won't blah blah on about how it seems like a lifetime since the first post on a wickedly cold winter day in 2009 but is looking forward to the next year! Once again, to thank all of you who take the time to visit, comment and interact with the author of this blog, VDP is having a prize draw. First prize is the above 10x21 cm (3.93x8.26") photograph by local photographer Versalis Vice whose first exhibition you witnessed on this blog about a fortnight ago (here and here). The photograph, titled  'alongside the canal' (i.e. the grand canal at Versailles palace) comes unframed and of course without watermark. Second prize is a cotton shopping bag sporting one of Didier Paquignon's paintings which were exhibited last year at Lambinet Museum. You had seen the exhibition here. Please take a moment to read the rules and leave a comment on this post before 23 hours 59 (CET) on 4 February. The draw will take place shortly afterwards (though perhaps not in the middle of the night!) Thank you again!

Aujourd'hui VDP a six ans.

Well, you really take the prize. Six years! Congrats on a job well done! I remember that stand of trees; in fact I took several artsy photos of it myself. :)

6 ans ! what a maturité !

Six years! Congratulations, Ciel. You do not seem to be slowing down at all, as a blogger, although you do have a nasty habit of taking spills that slow you down, as a person. Be careful in year 7, OK? (Love your friend's peaceful photo.)

Congratulations to you for you dedication and hard work. Having gotten to know you a bit, I see how your photos reflect your love of your town.

Splendid photo, by the way. It looks like a line of very trim sheep standing at attention.

Gratuliere, Ciel !

Awesome! I don't know how long I've been visiting you regularly, but enjoy it immensely and I learn a lot about Versailles.

Please don't think that was a shameless suck up just to win ;-)

Well... six years, VDP... so you're a few months older than me... but you kept it up, while I had to reluctantly bow out (for a while?)... I had to sign in just to come congratulate you on your perseverance. I know it can be a roller coaster of a ride, this regular posting. May you keep enjoying the ride and gifting your followers with lovely images of Versailles, such a magnificent twon! Cheers! À la vôtre!

I will never be able to see Versailles, but, through your eyes, the romance of yesterday and today lives on. (The closest I get to Versailles is teaching my senior students about the French Revolution.) Congrats on your your blogging milestone.
