VDP loved this autumn/winter veg display at Goûts d'Yvelines! Below, chef Thierry Conte of Le Camélia restaurant in nearby Bougival showing his skills to a captivated audience (that's a microphone on his cheek should you wonder!) Do you eat seasonal fruit and veg?

I've actually been on the lookout for some varieties of squash and pumpkins good for cooking.
I recognize some of those vegetables and others I have not seen. We are eating greens and butternut squash though with temperatures well below freezing, I guess squash are stored and not seasonal now.
Our regular market ended this weekend, but we've got Christmas markets coming up.
I spy some butternut squash. My favorite.
I certainly try to eat in season although it gets hard in the winter to eat local, Ciel!
Nice looking veggies. Looks like a fun event.
Do I eat seasonal fruits and veggies? Ciel, I eat just about everything. That is the problem.
Winter veg = rib sticking stews with herby dumplings....Ummm
Great way to spend a winter's afternoon... hope you picked up some useful tips and recipes?!
Squash is a favorite and pumpkin pie of course. That looks like a fun event.
The display is great and I imagine that I would be fascinated by the chef's work...
What a beautiful display. It's all fine with me except for the squash. I really do not care for squash.
I agree that the display is very attractive!
I just saw another blog with a similar post consisting of lots of gourds. It's driving me out of my gourd! Sheesh!
Nah, just kidding. In Florida, we have most all fruits and veggies in every season. Which means that sometimes the apples aren't too good, etc.
Those squashes look gooo-oood.
Pretty display. Believe it or not, strawberries soon will be in season here in Florida.
Absolutely Ciel, seasonal is best, and I try to always buy Australian, West Australian if possible.
