Food vans are the new rage in France and these two were catering to Goûts d'Yvelines' visitors! Note the Texas plate above the French one!

that is so neat! i noticed the texas plate right away...so what is their connection to texas? are they transplanted texans or is the food american? love it!
They are huge here. One of my co-workers husband has a really nice one. The food is great too.
So it's spreading. I think it's a good idea. That's a really old Texas plate and a nearly ancient Airstream trailer.

An air stream for a food truck, very classy. The old Citroen vans are also very popular food trucks.
Il est tres beau celui-ci et quelle bonne idee. Une bonne facon de se faire une reputation et de changer d'endroit (apres autorisation) si l'endroit n'est pas rentable.
Chouette :). A Tahiti, on appelle ça des "roulottes", c'est une institution, il y en a partout au bord des routes. Mais les roulottes sont bien moins rutilantes que celle sur ta photo.... ça m'inspire pour le post de demain sur Tahiti Daily Photo :)

They're popular in Paris, of course, but they haven't made it to Amboise (if you don't count the ones at the marchés). I wonder what the local restaurants think about this idea.
I haven't seen one in a long time as I think restaurants got the government to harass them out of business.
They come in many shapes and sizes. Taking food distribution to new levels, that's for sure.
Looks like food truck food has become popular all over the world.
They are relatively common here, but they are never as nice as this one!

That Texas plate is too funny. But the food truck looks like something you'd see at a construction site in downtown Houston! These things have been around a long time but again, most where people are working outdoors, or at concerts or fairs of one kind or another.
Having made many, many trips to Texas in my life, I spotted the plate immediately and was wondering when you had traveled there. Your clever caterers were wise to preserve that!
Those old metal campers are so very cool.

It is a very clean and neat looking food truck. I almost never eat at food trucks. Just not sure about how sanitary they are . . . . . .
