So yesterday's question was: where was the panorama photo taken from? Well... from up here! This is the extraordinary inside of Saint-Louis cathedral dome! Atelier Choco Turquoise who took these photos was lucky enough to be able to ascend the spire! Isn't this incredible mid-XVIIIth century craftsmanship by architect Jacques Hardouin-Mansart-de-Sagonne, the great Mansart's grandson?... To view all cathedral posts inside and out, click here!

Those spiral steps look amazing... though cramped! The wood feels quite old, but enduring.
It's hard to believe that this is the inside of that dome! Wonderful, Ciel!
Fascinating!
I like the stair case
You wouldnt want to be scared of heights would you
I'd pay a lot to get up in there. The engineering is fascinating.
Looks ancient.
Wow. That would be a real treat to see.
Impressive photos of amazing architecture. Love the patterns the wooden beams make.

Wunderbares Handwerk, bzw. Kunstwerk!
It's not just engineering, it's sculpture !
I very much like that staircase!
This reminds me a lot of Disney... the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse?
That is pretty amazing. Just think how old those timbers are.
An amazing structure... I like the way your friend photographed all those picturesque wood beams!
Quelle oeuvre d'art, je n'aurais jamais imagine...
What a wonderful mish mash of wood!
These are marvelous photos! Those spiral stairs are amazing.
This is the part of the building I always want to see, I see lots of pegs holding things together, very strong! I particularly like the repetitive posts supporting the roof.
I just love this place! Glad you visited it and composed your photos so well.
