To end this series about the former war ministry, here are some doorway details...
Pour clore cette série sur l'ancien hôtel de la guerre, voici quelques détails du portail...
And a couple more shots of the doors taken awhile back, hence the different light and the fact that the façade is cleaner...
Et encore deux vues, prises il y a un certain temps, ce qui explique la différence de lumière et le fait que la façade soit plus propre...

The carvings and the doors are well rendered. I like the contrast between them.
I want to put that lion on the front of my building! ;-)
I think I might go for a slightly more simple entrance, RedPat. :-)
Je retiens surtout le detail de la langue!
I love seeing the intricate detail.
Very decorative entrance.
That lion looks a bit human... I wonder if the sculptor was making a commentary or a joke !?
All very grand and very detailed, it's a wonder anyone actually makes it through the doors with so much to see and admire!
Obviously there is quite a lot to see in the details of this door. I wonder what the message is with that bird on the head of that man. Interesting.
the first one reminds me of the teenage girls taking selfies with their tongues out lol...what detail in them all!
I always like a blue door. Was the first image a fountain at one time? MB
I like these ornate details. Hopefully it wont be long before I take some pictures of them myself. :-)
The top one reminds me of Gene Simmons from the band KISS. ;-)
A funny pose amid a lot of very serious ones...
magnificent details, thanks for the close ups
Great details, Ciel.
Nice shots showing us the intricate details, Ciel!
Stunning details Ciel.. although why did I think of Miley Cyrus when I saw the first shot :)
I couldn't believe those cameos were on the doors. I imagined they were on the walls.
