Seen outside Saint-Louis cathedral the weekend before last... VDP thinks it might be an Excalibur (based on Olivier's comment on this post). Correct VDP if she is wrong...

Wow! What a beautiful car, Ciel!
He covers his face! It does look like the same car, Ciel!
I have no idea what it is, Ciel, but I'll bet it is a babe magnet.
OMG! Let's go riding. MB
ca y ressemble enormement, mais vous en faites un elevage à Versailles ? ;))
Wow, that's some car, makes a great shot with that background
No idea about the car model but I must say it is in the perfect setting. Nice shots!
mais que fait mon chauffeur à Versailles
Very classy looking car, the driver looks a little shifty though ;-)
Half an Excalibur, but still!
J'en connais rien en voiture, sauf que jolie ou moche. Celle-ci est plutôt dans la catégorie jolie !
That guy thinks you are taking his photo, careful he may know the G-men from the other day.
An outstanding automobile! Would be hard to miss it on the street.
BOND, James Bond!
Excalibur or not Excalibur, it's beautiful !
Oh wow, that is a beautiful machine.
Excalibur or not, this is a wonderful vintage car!
That would be cool to drive...or maybe frightening in case I got a scratch on it. :)
I don't know what it is, but I think I'd like to have one except that I'd be afraid to drive it around in case it got smashed in or someone would steal it or wreck it and then I'd have to leave it in the garage and just go look at it at night in the dark so no one would see me and then I couldn't really see the car very well and what would be the point and I guess the best thing is not to get one and I couldn't afford it anyway so I'll just look at this one thank you very much!
The gentleman driving this very elegant 'Excalibur' is checking you out from behind his sunglasses Ciel :)
Yes, that is an Excalibur designed by Brooks Stevens in 1962 to look like the 1928 Mercedes SSK. They were built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1964 until 1989. The first car was built for Studebaker, but all other Excalibur cars have Chevrolet engines.
Thank you for the full explanation!
