Vinz le Mariachi

Every 21st of June, summer solstice, France goes music wild for the 'fête de la musique'. Usually it rains, not so this year, the weather was perfect. There were loads of free concerts all over the city centre but VDP stayed around the Avenue de Sceaux stage because she still can't walk properly. It took her ages to find a parking space so she missed most of Vinz the Mariachi's Mexican inspired concert... The sound engineers were very concentrated and you can listen to Vinz's Cucaracha here.

He certainly looks quite Mexican.

Sorry that the leg's still giving you trouble.

He's got the costume perfect.

Being originally from Texas and having lived in Mexico, too, this looks like my kind of concert!! Hope you're feeling a little better every day.

hey at least you are out walking around now, that is good!
I wear a hat that started out as nice as that one but after lots of garden work it is getting ragged. You would have a laugh seeing me in it.

Fabulous music for sure. We had a music event all day Saturday in the neighbourhood - some performances in the park and some at local businesses!

That would not be something I would expect to see there.

I guess there's no law against a mariachi band playing in Versailles! :) I like the sound. When visiting in Guaymas, Mexico years ago, we were often serenaded by such groups while eating dinner.

Well, until it got to be too much and I broke a guitar over one guy's head. Nah, i'm just kidding, but they can be rather annoying. :)

So sorry you're still not hopping around like a bunny rabbit. Soon, I hope!

My son and daughter-in-law went to some of the fête around Montmartre yesterday and had a great time. But mariachis in France? That would turn my head.

Sorry you missed out on part of the performance. I'm sure the place was jammed with people like it was here.

Since I said I wish I was over there enjoying all the music---you need to talk to Bob. Get it!!! MB

Oh I forgot-----The river was pushed on over the road and everything in it's way. Upriver then formed a new channel to the rest of the river. At first there was a big worry that the river backed up so much there would be flooding downriver but nature worked it out. MB

What fun! I would not expect Mexican music at the festival but apparently there was quite a variety. Better take care of yourself and continue to heal!

Not exactly my favorite kind of music, but I would definitely like to listen this!

Oh so finding parking in Versailles sounds like here in Perth Ciel, especially at an event like this. You got super shots from the event, just going to check out more above!
