The road looks to be in really good condition to be unpaved. Our driveway is a couple hundred yards of unpaved surface on a hill so it is lots of work with pick and shovel to maintain it.
Yes, perhaps a rural feel. But not too rural with all those houses close by. :) It's a very nice neighborhood. Wonder how that road does in the winter with the snow?
Dear Ciel, this is in response to your comments which I just saw: 1) the old couple had just dined at Toojay's and were walking to their car in the parking lot behind the building; 2) Yep, I use a Canon S95 on occasion. It does a good job. :)
I like it! I grew up on an unpaved street. We lived near the ocean and the street was covered with crushed sea shells. We used to walk down the street looking for sharks' teeth and we always managed to come home with several of them.

Rather unusual, but a pleasant streetscape!
Unusual these days, but I agree, it is a pleasant 'streetscape' indeed and I really like it!

We're used to that from visiting Dave's place in Costa Rica.
Americans can never get over how Europeans park on the sidewalk. It would be scandalous here.
Like Bob says, you would get a very expensive ticket here in Canada for parking on the sidewalk!

I do like the rural, offbeat scene!
My kind of neighborhood.
Sort of a country feel........just too many cars. LOL!!!
Come see where we went. MB
les paves ont peu être servis pour une révolution
That is very interesting. Now that I'm studying for a French driver's licence I can't help but notice all the cars parked on the sidewalk !
It does look very rural!
Very charming. :)

Hope you're off to a good week.
I like the country feel. But hey! I LIVE in a rural area by choice. :)
i like this different shot of your city!
That's a very pretty, leafy neighborhood.

This could easily be one of our suburbs...
Interessantes Gelände, solche Straßen haben wir hier nicht mehr... einerseits schade...
Really? That's interesting. It does make it look rustic.
Fine photo of an interesting neighborhood. It also shows a problem of space for parking cars. There isn't any.
Nowhere to park a car. Interesting.
I like anything that gives the city a country feel Ciel :)
