Since this is National Poetry month, I went to your link to read some of his poems. Here is a sample of one verse of "Solitude"—nice
Dead kings are said to have trodden this path Leading to the stone bench where we like to sit, While over the solitude falls the peace of evening And our hearts, like psalm-books, are full of mute songs.

He must have gotten tired of New York. The name is vaguely familiar but I don't recall reading his work. I do like the house!
Re your question: Of course you can "meditate" with an iPad. You just close your eyes, the iPad drops to the floor, and you wake up an hour later with a cat sitting on it! :)

Wonder what the French thought of his poetry. Thanks for the literary history!
Amazing that he was born in the US but wrote poetry in French!

Happy Poetry Month to him and you.
He was lucky to live.. and die, in such a residence Ciel. Will look up his work.
I confess my ignorance: I have never hear of this poet... Thanks for writing about him!
I have personally never heard of him. But I am going to check wikipedia toute de suite!
Well for someone who is my namesake I should have known about him. But there goes my engineering education again.
