No, no, of course, this isn't in Versailles! Cattle branding in Eastern Washington last Saturday at CDH ranch where I had the great pleasure of meeting MB of Stanwood again and being introduced to part of her family! The ranch life can be followed here! Again, thank you all for your amazing hospitality! Back to Versailles tomorrow!

How wonderful that you were in WA!! Wish I could have met up with you while you were here, too! At least we've have a little decent weather the past couple of day!!!
You hardly ever see cattle being branded in Versailles!
Poor cow.
does the cow get pain killers???
Welcome back! You were missed. Fantastic shot, not an everyday sight for sure! Sounds like a lovely getaway, and with a fellow blogger:)
Thanks for visiting the ranch! Was wonderful to meet you and your mom!
:)
It looks a wonderful place to have visited, did you wear your cowboy boots?
Et moi qui croyait que c'était une balançoire !
Tu reviens avec une photo choc!pauvre petit veau.. Mais c'est la face cachée de la vie des cow-girls versaillaises !- une espèce rare- :o)
Welcome home!
Superbe! Vive les différences! Et bonne fin de séjour.
Good shot. I hope you and your Mum had a nice time. We sure did and everybody enjoyed meeting you two--too.
Yeah get back to work and try not to think too much. Yeah right!! MB
I guess branding involves getting kicked, hence the gentleman wearing baseball catcher shin protectors.
I checked out the link in your post. They describe their location as being in the middle of nowhere. That is an unusual destination for a vacation, especially for someone from overseas.
poor thing :(
"Poor cow...it's awful!" please, give me some "lettuce"!
Coucou chérie! Je suis très contente que tu sois de retour, tu m'a manqué beaucoup!
bisous
Léia
What a surprise, welcome home!
Sounds as thought you had a good visit. What fun to be able to share this particular phase of life on a ranch. That's quite a spread, too - 25,000 acres! Amazing.
Be safe!
Welcome back Ciel, sounds like you had a fun time with your Mum in WA, checked the link, those brands look pretty intense oui.
Hope you enjoyed your stay. Poor cow, she looks bewildered.
A dramatic photo for sure!
