Esprit Jardin (garden spirit): selling fresh herbs for your garden and bamboo, in front of the current photo exhibition on the king's veg garden walls: Le Nôtre, Louis the XIVth's gardener.
Qui veut des fines herbes pour son jardin ? Ou des bambous ? Ces derniers étaient vendus devant l'expo photo du moment au Potager du Roi, dédiée à le Nôtre, le jardinier de Louis XIV.

Ooh, how timely for Spring - makes me think of seedlings, new herbs and new recipes to try, all good things! I like that relaxing table/chair set-up too. (Now, if only this weather would actually feel Spring-like!:)
oh how'd I'd love to plant some bamboo behind my apartment, they'd never let me, it's so invasive :) but what a nice screen it'd make
love the photos, particularly the herb seller!!
Perfect for spring indeed! I really like the set-up, too! Great shots, Ceil, as always and a lovely peek at your world!
Louis XIV's gardener: a concept comparable to Churchill's cigar maker or Kim Jong-un's astrologer. Impossibly important.
Hoping that spring finally arrives for once... :)
God bless you!

A long time ago we had a house in the countryside with a nearby bunch of huge bamboos. My dad managed to build some furniture with it, but as a hobby it wasn't easy...
I would love to stop there!
An appropriate venue to sell herbs and bamboo. I hope the temperature warms up soon.
Bamboo is another of those plants that you have to keep under control...but the herbs can make or break a dish oui!
I love herbs and so does Bob. He has many growing in his gardens. We pop them fresh in everything. His son Jim grows tons of Basil too. MB
I'd say he found the perfect spot to sell his wares.
I think bamboo is really nice, but it's terribly invasive. This is a nice venue!!
