La boucherie-charcuterie de la rue des deux portes
The butcher in rue des deux portes (two gates street). Right next door, you might recognise La Finca, the tea shop. I had showed you the sign here! Oh and see that wine barrel? The green shop is this one.
Juste à côté, vous reconnaîtrez peut-être la Finca, le magasin de thé dont je vous montrais l'enseigne ici. Ah et vous voyez la barrique ? Le magasin vert, c'est celui-ci.
So many of our cities lack this kind of shopping area ... the downtown areas are deserted (esp. in the evenings and weekends) and shopping is scattered in a variety of strip malls all over the place.
Rue des deux portes looks like a wonderful place to visit and shop and have a cup of tea!
France has often struck me as unwelcoming to vegetarians. I remember years ago checking into a Disneyland Paris hotel with the children. Looking for a restaurant, I told the clerk Ma fille ne mange pas de viande. Her curt reply was simply quel dommage.
Thanks for your comments on my Costa Rica photos this week. I had to pay for the time off with a very long work week and got few comments written.

This looks like the prime shopping street in the area, Ciel. Nice.

After all your winter photos, this looks very warm and inviting.
Looks like some tasty chicken.
This is looks like a charming area, Ciel. I'd love to stroll it.
A street full of treats!
God bless you!

Je m'émerveille souvent sur les noms de rues "rue des deux portes" en voici un bien joli. Ici on se réchauffe rien qu'en passant devant la rôtisserie!
So much nicer than a North American supermarket!
The right place to go when you're hungry and thirsty! :-)
Quite strollable too. Wine?
Only in Versailles could a butcher shop look so appealing Ciel, this on might even tempt me to eat a bit more meat haha!

I agree with everyone. A lovely street with different treats mere steps away from the last. A lovely picture.

Lovely street scene. Arianna

La barrique a tout de suite attiré mon regard, le genre d'objet que j'adore , sais pas pourquoi!
It's just dinner time and this is a very nice street!

J'ai toujours adoré cette façade vintage à souhait!
I like the light in this shot. Very nice.
Wow...I would love to wander up and down that street and window shop! Beautiful shots... :)
Mmm, it's close to dinner here and this would be the perfect stop for the making of a delicious meal!
Love the color in this one!
