Very impressive! A work of art.
So beautiful and I love being able to see the detail in this shot!! Thanks!! Hope your week is going well, Ciel!
I would love to hear this in action, beautiful musical instrument and photograph! (oh, to answer your question, yes satsumas would be the one item our farms haven't figured out yet:)...though it didn't stop an old neighbor from making a pretty successful attempt last year!)
Is the clock
I meant to say is the clock for the organist to keep time?
This is very beautiful, but sadly things don't seem to be made with the same sense of artistic sensibility that they once were.
The clock is so unusual! What is the sound of time passing?
This clock is so chic! :)
Léia
Il manque à la pendule l'aiguille des secondes pour battre la mesure...
Awesome! Great shot, Ciel.
oh my gosh, that is beautiful!
How many pipes. I'll bet that's a smokin' organ! And is probably played all the "time."
I am so happy I found your blog! Its like a history lesson mixed with fabulous photos! I moved to Versailles a few months ago and I am enjoying learning about this great City! Thanks!
Wow! Looks impressive. Bet it sounds that way too. :)
Looks like the incorporated some impressive woodwork into the pipes. I bet the sound is unbelievable!
Time has treated this organ well.
I can almost hear the history in this photo.
Amazing this dates back over 3 centuries. Beautiful piece of art.
The great organ of Notre-Dame looks very impressive at 3.50..pm I presume! Hang in there Ciel, it will be Spring before you know it.
Majestic and fascinating!
Des instruments toujours impressionnants, surtout quand on voit quand ils ont été fabriqués!
Il est impressionnant, j'espère qu'il sert de temps en temps
The detail is magnificent!
Beautiful details, Ciel. A big organ is so expensive that they often don't have a lot of embellishment. In Versailles, no money and no talent was spared to make this as beautiful as possible.
