I was showing you the roadworks on Montreuil high street here. It's a bit of a ghost street in August... One bakery is open, no butcher, no caterer, no grocer... It is highly unlikely that I will have time to visit your blogs today. Apologies, have a great Sunday!

Amazing to see so many shops/stores closed! It does look like a ghost town! I bet the shop keepers/workers do look forward to August! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Ciel! Enjoy!
Again this is a very clever way to present the theme of street facades. I will take up this wonderful idea myself
It's like a ghost town :-(
I was thinking that the no parking signs were to keep tourists from clogging the streets, but if everyone is on holiday, are their many tourists in August?
Not something you would every see here.
Bon dimanche a tous.
One might as well stay in bed in your neck of the woods when there's only one baker, no butcher or caterer or grocer! How can you live with a grocer? Yikes!
Shops on holiday, I guess.
btw Thanks for adding that bit of history on The Eagle yesterday. She certainly has an interesting German past.
Excellent collage Ciel, and I'm very happy to see that priorities are correct, of all those shops the bakery is definitely the most important oui!
Not many shops open here, mostly supermarkets...
Interesting and a good idea. If the roads are closed well then so will the shops-----but NOT the bakery. LOL MB
Wonderful images and a lovely idea..
I was in Versailles almost ten years ago now, but I do remember remarking on the town and not just the palace. What a beautiful place to live! I like your blog. :)
Lol, agree with PerthDailyPhoto that the bakery is the most important! I always wondered about what life is like in August there, now I 'see' :)
