Inspired by Savinien Cyrano de Bergerac's 1657 prose on a voyage to the moon, here is a delightful exhibit in Diana's room. Can you see the shadow projected on the door on the right? The bust in the middle of the photo is of Louis XIV and was sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

Love that sweet moon silhouette, inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac!, and that you casually threw in a Bernini sculpture. So many delicious things going on here :)

Our opera company produced John Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles a few years ago. It's brilliant and would do well to be staged right here.

I love the atmosphere of this photo. The light is sort of spooky, but in a good way!! :)

The play of light and shadow is dramatic here.

I could have spent days in the Palace! The artifacts and artistry is magnificent! Next time we'll have to ask you to come along as our "tour guide"! :-)
