Not a very difficult task to find cobblestones in Versailles, they are everywhere and I have already shown some (the label 'cobblestones' will get you there)! These photos were taken on Avenue Nepveu, next to the palace, where you rattle and shake when driving! As the portal is still down, click here to view other takes on the theme or to take part! Happy April!

This reminds me of growing up. Every Sunday, we'd go to church in New Castle and one of the roads was made of cobblestones. Not so good if you need to p :-(
Versaille is the perfect place to find cobblestones ... I remember walking in the palace grounds over all those cobblestones ... they look beautiful with such an olde-world charm. Lovely capture Ciel.
Happy April!!!
Yes, this was as easy for you as a theme day for "asphalt" would be for me!
Nice theme day shot. We don't have cobblestone here so I am sitting this one out.
You're right Ciel :-) In Europe we can easily find cobblestone almost everywhere. In France a village place I love so much is Locronan in Bretagne :-)
You did a good job with the theme - the red shoes have some zing. I wasn't inspired by the theme so I went off in another direction.
Wonderful cobblestones.
Too easy for a Versailles inhabitant methinks.. well done Ciel, these cobblestones look hundreds of years older than mine, and that's because...they are!!
Not a theme for everywhere...
Ah! If Versailles' cobblestones could speak!!!
i will put my pic up tomorrow when it is April 1st here.
April Foo's Day!!!
I like your pic with the vespa peeking in it.

You are so right, not difficult to find in France. I love your shots. Really bringing the cobbles up close and personal.
It is not too hard to find cobblestones over there, sadly here they are disappearing...
Excellent choice, the pictures are beautiful.
Creative and nice way to photograph the theme day photo.
Real SPRING where you are?
Well-done, Ciel. I love to look at these cobblestoned streets, but hate to drive on them or even worse ride a bike on them!
I forgot the theme! I'm a bad person. Mea culpa. :-))
When I say the scooter my first thought was about the "rattle and shake" part... :)
God bless you!
Cezar
They used to be everywhere here too, but now a thing of the past.
That's easy for you to say - difficult for us to find cobblestones over here! Bravo for your theme day photos!
These images are artfully seen... I like this minimalist style of photography :^)
Oh, the choices you must have had for today's theme day! A wheel and heels with cobblestone -- nice.
Really nice. I knew I'd see the real deal in Versailles. :)
Yes you sorta know this place. We met right next door to the blue shop at the Blackbird cafe and Bistro. The blue shop was a dress shop called Marcy's. Both closed now. A sign of the times here. The long view is the road in front of the shops. You whizzed right on by---remember? MB
Nice red shoes. Wonder how well they work on the cobbled sidewalk. I really like the second photo. I can almost feel the rattles and shakes.
tu es reste combien de temps a quatre pattes pour faire ces photos ? ;) pas trop dur de se relever apres
Y-a-t'il une plage sous ces paves? -)
mais point de charrette
I love it, but the owner of this beautiful high heels might not share my opinion:)
have a great week ahead!
Wonderful to see... if you ever visit Chester I would love to be your guide.
I would never have thought of photographing cobblestones.
and slippery when wet too! Nice shots, ciel.
Cobblestones make such pretty roads.
So jealous how you have so much cobblestones. They are hell on heals but I love them! :D
Both compositions are pretty cool, Ciel!
j'avais oublier cela les pavés , cela reste très Versailles.
