I saw a tree like this last year in Bucharest, but have zero chance of spotting one here in this scrap town in southern China! So I'll just enjoy this eye candy you've shared. Don't remember this song from Grateful Dead... hmmm... Hope you are well! I've found a program to bust through China's firewall, but it makes possting and blog hopping real sloooow... so I'm limited by that and time constraints.

Magnolias in bloom are marvelous. In my area, the blooms are very short-lived.

I think we do call them Japanese Magnolias or maybe tulip trees here. Whatever, you have captured them beautifully.

And that's one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs. Like the above comment says, it'll stay in my head all day, which is a thing to be grateful for.

I'm pretty sure we had one of these in our backyard at the old house in Ocala...they are gorgeous flowers but as I recall they don't last very long.
Both of these are great shots, but I'm a bit partial to the 2nd because of the setting - the house, the other tree, and the fence.
