Wednesday Doorway: L'hôtel des Postes

Today's doorway is the Hôtel des Postes, built in 1752 at the expense of king Louis the 15th. It isn't the post office though! I got kind of lucky with three blue cars in front of the blue door!
Today, Marilyn is on Artsy Versailles.
--------------------------------------

Wonderful blue doorway. Doors are so intriguing, especially old ones.

I just love that blue -- it just makes the building! The car ain't half bad either.

1752? It looks like it was built yesterday. Utterly amazing. Gorgeous door, too. Blue on blue with blue cars. A blue Wednesday!

Hope you're not blue.

By Versailles' standards, this is probably a farily straightforward door, but by the standards of the rest of the world, it is glorious!

You guys have the coolest doors! It's hard to imagine it lasted this long.

Very nice and I agree with Doug about old doors. Happy Wednesday!

I noticed that your banner is in blue also, so what a trilogy, banner, door, and cars! Good one! I like this blue door...very royal!

Isn't blue supposed to be for royalty or am I just thinking of "royal blue"? Hmmm, that's probably where the term "royal blue" came from. Forgive my meanderings, a lovely picture.

You're right, green and gray vehicles would never do here. It's all so harmonic. What is the building used for now?

I love blue doors! I discovered a lot of them in Paris the last time I was there. Unfortunately in Vienna most doors are brown.

Another epidemic of blue, I envy you for these colors...

The blue cars are a bit of serendipity! I always admire your use of color.

A very grandiose door. That is wonderful that you got three blue cars in the picture too - no colour clashes:)

For sure the cars are an excellent chance catch! Why the "do not enter" sign on the left door? Are people to enter on the right? Or am I misinterpreting the sign?
