L'hôtel de ville et ses sapins

Yesterday I was showing you the ice-rink which stands just in front of the town hall. For a spring view of the building, click on the label below.

Hier je vous montrais la patinoire qui se trouve juste devant l'hôtel de ville que voici. Pour une vue plus printanière, cliquez sur le tag ci-dessous.

What a lovely photo! I like your town hall a lot in winter or spring. I see you also have our weather now (cold). It's raining here again and is a "warm" 41 deg. F! I'm wearing the lighter jacket part of the time now! :)

It appears that your Hôtel de Ville rivals that of Paris!

Impressive light decorations and well captured. Could you remind me again, what was that Earth Hour thing about? ;)

So beautiful. It sure beats the heck out of our city hall...in fact, it makes our city hall look like a dog house!

So festive in such a gracious way.

The hôtel de ville is beautifully dressed for the holiday, tastefully understated compared to some of the garish mess we see around here.

So pretty at night. I like the skating rink too. I used to ice skate all the time--Loved it. Met my first boyfriend iceskating and I still think about him now and again. MB

Beautiful holiday lights!

The lights are pretty, but it's the magnificense of the building that makes this a lovely picture.

Oh in the Northeastern part of the US you can't decorate public places lest you offend someone. How dreary, really. We could learn a thing or two.

Your comment is so right about the vending machines. For you I will try to post tomorrow about real bookstores.

Ciel, the cafe in Taormina with the wonderful wisteria was closed :( All I could do was point my camera through the bars of the locked gate and take a photo. But I could dream!
