Araignée du soir...

Spotted last weekend. I'm sure there are lots of spiders, yet I had never noticed one this big right in the middle of the city centre.
------------------

Ugly beast, great images. The first one is nice for the buildings in background, but the second is really great for the colors and the glimpses of the cobweb.

You are frightened of our little gators and a few sharks but spiders you can handle, heh?

You did well here; it is hard to catch a spider in mid-web, so to speak!

I think she is beautiful! Anything that eats biting insects is a friend of mine... Lovely photo, great control of depth of field.

They are quite ugly. I wouldn't get that close.

What a find, and a wonderful composition. Interesting to see a city, not more plants, in the soft background.

These garden spiders are great, handy to have them in the garden and wonderful webs they spin often across huge gaps.

This is great! And applicable for the season we are in... Tried photographing the one outside my door and I don't think he liked it much! Thanks for visiting my site!

Great find! I hate spiders but they fascinate me at the same time. Fantastic background in the second shot.
