There have been dramatic changes since March (see yesterday's post) at Latona fountain in the palace gardens... These photos were taken at the very beginning of May by VDP's friend Atelier Choco Turquoise and there's more to come tomorrow!
Il y a eu des changements énormes depuis mars (voir le billet d'hier) au bassin de Latone... Ces photos ont été prises tout début mai par l'Atelier Choco Turquoise, la suite demain !
Wow..you can see from the last picture it is going to look fabulous...
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures really are gleaming!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic restoration this will be! You promise to take lots of photos of it when done, right?
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be so gorgeous! I can hardly wait, Ciel!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all that gold glistening in the sunlight!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see that the state is preserving its beauty. Infrastructure here is, in general, going to hell because conservative governments won't appropriate the money to maintain it. We have bridges in our area with nets underneath them to catch falling bits of concrete.
ReplyDelete'Golden' images ;-)
ReplyDelete@ Bob: this actually isn't paid for by the taxpayer. It's all down to sponsoring. You'll find the information in the link I provided yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI always like this kind of photos: this is a very interesting and peculiar 'construction site'!
ReplyDeleteThe golden sculptures will look nicer after a winter or two. Looking forward to seeing the fountain when it's all done.
ReplyDeleteAm loooooooving this series Ciel. Looks like they're doing a marvelous restoration. All those beautiful golden frogs... Hurry up tomorrow so I can see more!
ReplyDeleteWow, it's looking fantastic. The gold on those statues just sparkles.
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be STUNNING
