A little while back, in this post, Randy of Santa Fe, NM DP asked for an update of Avenue de Paris in the autumn, here it is! Last Saturday, as almost every weekend, pétanque players were enjoying the very mild weather. As for these giant flower pots, I must have driven past them 1000 times but only noticed them this last weekend!

I love this street. It is magnificent in any season but this is surely one of the most beautiful. I can imagine many stories that have begun and matured among people sharing this street!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Ciel. Love those big green pots, too!
It's a delightful scene in the Autumn Ciel - and those big green pots are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I love the mixture of colours in the leaves and the flowerpots are great! You have such a good eye for a photo opportunity, I'm surprised you didn't notice them earlier.

Thanks for posting this shot. It is absolutely beautiful. I really like to flower pots too.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's like that hey Ciel, you don't even see something and then one day your eyes spot it and you wonder 'how long has that been there!!' The light and colour in the second picture is magical, gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteI would tease you about visiting the eye doctor, but I miss stuff like this all the time. The views are beautiful with the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Randy for asking. Thanks to you for being responsive to his request.
Love the oversize pots, we don't see people playing bocce, our petanque, anymore here...
ReplyDeleteDe beaux arrondis dans ces photos. Comment n'as-tu pas remarque ces pots!!
ReplyDeletedire que ils joue toujours au boules les versaillais, cette avenue est très poétique
ReplyDeleteNow those are what I call "BIG, GREEN flower pots!"
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween wishes from EAGAN
Funny how you can pass a place many times and miss something so obvious. Until now they probably blended into the landscape, in your mind anyway.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is beautiful, and I love these huge green pots!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the oversized pots! And, Avenue de Paris is simmply stunning. It's a tunnel of trees! (Hope you pulled out your jack-o-lantern for the day!)
ReplyDeleteI love the autumn view. Those changing trees are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteRe your question on The Villages: Nope! As I recall, this was another evening. I had dropped Lois off for a meeting and was out and about by myself.
ReplyDeleteA few days earlier we had indulged our sweet tastes at Haagen Dazs!
Beautiful autumn mood at the Avenue de Paris! The pots above have to be the biggest I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colour of those giant flower pots. I also love the autumn colours of the trees.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful area to spend time, playing a game or just strolling.
ReplyDeleteThe combination of beautiful colors with the "Land of the Giants" flowerpots reminds you that this can be a lovely world.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful avenue in yellow... and I like the pots, but who chose to color them apple green? So what is the difference between pétanque and boules? I'm pretty sure we played boules when I used to visit our family friends' summer home in Pornique.
ReplyDelete@ Francisca: I don't think there is a difference but I'm far from being an expert!
ReplyDeleteI love that. I remember this place.
