A little while back, in this post, Randy of Santa Fe, NM DP asked for an update of Avenue de Paris in the autumn, here it is! Last Saturday, as almost every weekend, pétanque players were enjoying the very mild weather. As for these giant flower pots, I must have driven past them 1000 times but only noticed them this last weekend!Il y a quelques temps, dans ce billet, Randy de Santa Fe DP au Nouveau-Mexique demandait à revoir l'avenue de Paris un peu plus tard en automne, alors la voici. Samedi dernier, il faisait doux et une partie de pétanque était en cours, comme toujours sur l'avenue de Paris. Quant à ces gigantesques pots de fleurs, j'ai du passer à côté mille fois avant de m'apercevoir de leur présence...
I love this street. It is magnificent in any season but this is surely one of the most beautiful. I can imagine many stories that have begun and matured among people sharing this street!

ReplyDeleteSometimes it's like that hey Ciel, you don't even see something and then one day your eyes spot it and you wonder 'how long has that been there!!' The light and colour in the second picture is magical, gorgeous shots!

ReplyDeleteIls ont installé ces grands pots chez nous aussi! ici, ils sont "terra cotta", j'aime l'effet que ça fait, on se sent tout petit, ça change les proportions, c'est joli et marrant.
ReplyDeleteOn voit beaucoup ces pots de fleur ornementaux, en vert cru cela choque en hiver, alors que la terre passe partout.
ReplyDeleteChouette avenue en automne, l’odeur devait être à l’avenant. J’adorerais voir les bacs à sable de Versailles ; ceux du jardin du Luxembourg ou de la place des Vosges sont pas piqués des vers / les accompagnatrices / les bambins.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful avenue in yellow... and I like the pots, but who chose to color them apple green? So what is the difference between pétanque and boules? I'm pretty sure we played boules when I used to visit our family friends' summer home in Pornique.
