Love, love, love it! The color is so delicious that I could lick the screen...
The vertical shot looks as if M. Louis XIV just rode in on his stallion... the balance of the horizontal sections in the background is perfect and you even threw in what looks like a jet's vapor trail...
What a lovely day in January for you to spend time at the Chateau. I like the first one with the lamp post in the forefront better than the second. The contrast is interesting to me...plus this particular photo struck a chord within me...merci beaucoup!
Spectacular sunsets are very precious gifts and the world should stop to observe them. In a restaurant in Florida once, they made us all stand up to salute the sunset - I do it everytime now (and then I wonder why people think I am mad!) xxx
Ciel, it is gorgeous! The colors are wonderful, the shape of the clouds, the framing with the statue, and of course the background intensity with the electric light! I'm sure it must have been awesome to stand there with all of that color, and not just the part in the frame of the photo. THAT is what's so hard to convey - the encompassing feeling of an evening like that.
Bland? Are you kidding!?! I came here after seeing your comments on tapirgal's also gorgeous sunsets. These are fabulous, Ciel... what a stunner, and perfectly captured.
