Great fountain, it looks like it could scare away evil spirits.
But if you tried to eat dinner after 9 p.m. in the states, all the restaurants would be closing soon! :) Just curious, if you don't eat until 9 or later, what time do you go to bed?
"Une eau qui jaillit à la voix du pasteur"?..des yeux bleus..Hum, cette fontaine recèle des bizarreries bien attirantes à mes yeux! Tu vas bien?(tu m'as souhaité un bon dimanche!..ça m'inquiète! :)
@ Jacob: I haven't found any specific information. I don't think it's ugly! ;-)
@ Brattcat: I have been asking myself the same question but haven't had time to go back. Will do though. When I took the picture, I hadn't noticed how blue the eyes were.
This fountain reminds me of the saying, "The devil is in the details!"
The word verification here is "sersed." If that were a French word, what would it mean? What would it look like if you photographed it? Just food for thought!
Thank you for visiting and leaving a thought! Sorry about the moderation, a bit tired of spam at the moment!
Merci de votre visite très appréciée et de laisser une pensée ! Désolée de devoir modérer vos commentaires, VDP en a un peu marre des spammeurs en ce moment !
Is this merely for decoration or does it serve some purpose. And why such an ugly face? Do you know who or what that face is supposed to represent?
ReplyDeleteIs it the light or does that fountain have blue eyes?
ReplyDeleteThe relief above it is incredible, as well.

Old Blue Eyes himself, LOL. I would like a fountain face in my garden. MB
ReplyDelete"Laver les taches de l'ame" : Quel programme ! L'eau ne suffira peut être pas pour tout le monde !
ReplyDeleteA beautiful classical fountain, with very strange eyes...

My dear Ciel: I'm so glad you don't think that face is ugly 'cause that means you might think I was kinda cute! :-)
ReplyDeleteHe resembles a Satyr with the wild hair and goat-like ears. :D
ReplyDeleteMore fountains! Glad this one is working, unlike VP's selection for today.
ReplyDeleteThe patina of those eyes are pretty eerie. Love the bas relief of the swans with their long curving necks.
ReplyDeleteIncredible.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures.
Happy weekend.
Wow. That's an interesting fountain.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder about fountains spurting out of a mouth. What does it all mean? :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just great, Ciel. «Louis» would like to visit this parvis and cathedral.
ReplyDeleteFontaine des belle amour; l'eau est là pour nous offrir cette fraicheur qui coule dans nos gorges.
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing face. I wonder if someone painted the eyes recently? I doubt it was meant to be that way - or was it?
ReplyDeleteLove this fountain!
