These flower basins in the Antiques District are still waiting for geraniums to be planted!

Really love the angle, the change of geometric shape from cylindrical to rectangular, the pair of pairs. Overarching blues. A pair of red lines. Lots to think about in this photo.
ReplyDeleteThey're so ornate and beautiful. As is you're picture.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite beautiful composition. The blue-red-yellow color highlights are lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust sent you a note about our arrival in Paris in a week and a half.
Bob is right. I love the dreamy effect you've created with your focus. So lovely. There is so much detail to observe, it must be hard to take it all in unless one can look again through photos like yours and have a chance to notice everything again.
ReplyDeleteHey, enjoy meeting the the Crowe's. I missed them while they were in Seattle, although we ended up at the same park at the same time.. .we didn't know each other was there shooting photos of the same scene until the shots appeared on both our blogs the next day and someone in cyberspace noticed. :-)

Love geraniums...and we have several pots in our back yard. When will this happen?
ReplyDelete@Jacob: no idea though I suspect sometime in April.
ReplyDelete@Cezar and Léia: good question. My first instinct would be to say the city but I'm not sure anymore, it could be the antiques sellers all around the little place where these are located.
Is there any way to tell what happens to the damsel, who appears to bee in distress, on the other side of the urn? Lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteSuperb blur in your composition!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful angle!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking flower pots.
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed my first visit here. I came here from Russ' site.
ReplyDeleteYou use some lovely angles on your shots - and sometimes that can be a very striking approach. Never be afraid to experiment ....
IL y a du boulot de desherbage!!
ReplyDeleteWon't the urns look lovely once they're planted?
