There's something very special about avenues such as this Ciel, it's the trees for sure but also the sweep leading down to something beautiful, I think the Palace might fit that criteria :)

I remember this street and how busy it was...at the time there were tour buses everywhere! Kinda like being at Disney World on July 4th!
ReplyDeleteLooks like there's an awful lot going on there. I know from your pictures that there are some beautiful quiet parts, they always look perfect to me..
ReplyDeleteLike Washington, D.C. on July 4th. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow - that is a lot of congestion, Ciel!
ReplyDeleteIt is busy down there. Why don't you stay up where you are.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Are all those tour buses?
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of traffic!
ReplyDeleteI see it! Looks like the tourists are out in force.
ReplyDeleteI recognize it. We walked somewhere around here, maybe closer to the palace, didn't we?
ReplyDeleteNice view with all the trees.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have such pretty streets over there. That's a cool sculpture too
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me that if i took the train from Paris this might be my first glimpse of the palace. I didn't expect that busy street.
ReplyDeleteun beau cadrage avec ce premier plan...
ReplyDeleteA fantastic viewpoint!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very sweeping perspective!

ReplyDeleteLove the trees, a bit less the traffic... Great perspective shot!
ReplyDelete@ Kate: no they are public transport. The coaches park outside the palace.
ReplyDelete@ Lois: these are locals...
@ Bob: yes we did, all the way down there but Olivier had parked somewhere up here!
Curse the traffic. Evermore!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely view and the trees lead your eye to the palace. Busy day, eh?
ReplyDeleteQuite a view, Ciel, and very busy, I see!
ReplyDeleteVery nice perspective, Ciel.
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast to some of those serene forest shots from a couple of days ago!
ReplyDeleteNo twists and turns so I bet no one gets lost there. ;)
