Wrapping up the series about the comics exhibition at the town hall, here's the man himself, Hermann, autographing and drawing for the happy few who had been selected in a draw to attend the signing. Now this included VDP, who waited patiently to have a comics book autographed for Bergson of Châteaubriant Daily Photo!
This is Yves H., Hermann's son, also a comics man!
Voici Yves H., le fils d'Hermann, scénariste !
Autographing Bergson's comic!
La BD de Bergson !
The queue... and a last sketch...
Hermann's artistic style is quite vibrant. I'll have to check out CDP!
ReplyDeleteAh the great man, wonderful work
ReplyDeleteWe learn so much on our friends' blogs!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautifully illustrated event. I particularly like the comparison of the two heads in the second picture.
ReplyDeleteHow very cool. Not too often does one meet the artist of a comic, although I did meet Charles Schulz of Peanuts fame and have an autographed picture of Snoopy that he drew for me. That was about 1953-1954!
ReplyDeleteNice shots. I wish I could draw.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to meet an artist of this great ability. Never underestimate the ability of artists just because they draw comics. Know a bunch of comic book artists and they have amazing talent.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to do this for Bergson. And also nice of the author/artist to give his time for that.
ReplyDeleteFather and son look very much alike. A memorable moment.
ReplyDeleteWow, I imagine his hand was aching by the end of that queue... great shots!
ReplyDeleteChanceux Bergson !
ReplyDeletemoi je trouve que ce Bergson a trop de chance de te connaitre .
ReplyDeleteil te doit une reconnaissance éternelle.
That's quite a line, you are very patient, something I sorely lack. Excellent photos of the event!
ReplyDeleteI love all the photos you took at this event. So, it looks like talent runs in his family. It's nice is son is carrying on the tradition.
ReplyDeleteA real artist and a very patient man...
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat event and lucky you.
