Like Jack I'm not religious but like the Christmas scenes and especially Christmas carols. But whenever visiting someplace I always visit the churches just to admire their architecture.
I don't recall seeing a creche thingy inside of a church before...here it looks up against the back wall. Very interesting. I guess in the first shot Mary hasn't given birth yet, 'cause baby Jesus seems to have gone missing.
Oops. I meant to respond to your comment on Ocala: That Santa was pretty disheveled. His beard was dull gray and scraggly and as he walked away his robe was open showing his regular clothes underneath. I would have fired him! :)

Those windows are great!
ReplyDeleteEven though I am not a religious person, I love creche scenes. I have one French creche set in Hartford and an Italian set in Naples.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, and it's in such a stunning location!
ReplyDeleteLove the windows.

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful nativity in a wonderful setting.
ReplyDeleteI so remember the beautiful créches in France when I spent the winters there. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteCreche scenes certainly bring out the Christmas spirit in many people!
ReplyDeleteThey look to be almost life-size. Yes?
ReplyDelete@ Jack and Dave: I'm not religious either but I enjoy everything in churches, as well as religious music and art...
ReplyDelete@ Birdman: no, not quite. A bit smaller.
They are well dressed.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of these things, but these are really lovely!
