Les pots de fleurs à Trianon

Flowers Petit Trianon Versailles
What you see here are flower pots. You will of course notice that they are buried in the soil. This is how royal gardeners kept the flower parterres of Trianon castles fresh looking. As soon as the flowers would wilt, they could be easily replaced! Naturally, the traditions are being upheld by the palace gardeners, here at Petit Trianon castle!

Okay, in the above shot you are looking at Petit Trianon castle. Turn around and the flower parterres continue looking towards VDP's favourite little marvel, the French pavilion below (which you had recently seen here).

  19. I love the flowers. Everything is so dry here now that it looks quite awful. Some rain is long overdue but we have barely got any clouds yet :(

  21. The gardeners are geniuses, no wonder they always look beautiful. Neat how your photographic perspective changes the look - the last photo looks like wild flowers.
