La boutique des jardins de Versailles

Adjacent to the restaurant 'la petite Venise' which VDP was showing you yesterday, housed in the same long stable, is the very charming 'boutique des jardins de Versailles' or Versailles gardens shop. I think this gives a better idea of what the building once was! They have a very nice book selection! Note to VP: the bench is up for grabs!

  1. Such a neat old building. Looks like a place my girls would like to explore.

  2. I know Lois Anne would love this garden boutique. Heck, I would, too! Lots of wonderful things to look at and buy!

Re your question on The Villages: It's a mini-stadium as the area is used for concerts and special programs. I think they did this to be a bit different than the other hometowns.

Also re the Ziosk: Maybe I wasn't clear but using the thing is optional and the wait staff still waits on you. It does offer a quick way to pay your bill and be gone, though. :)

  4. It's quite beautiful inside. What strikes me is how much light comes into the space.

  5. Beautiful proportions, muted colours and light. I have yet to visit Versailles (even though I've been to and absolutely love Vaux-le-Vicomte), but since following your blog we've decided that it's on our must do list this June. Warm regards
