Isn't this charming? It is princess Adélaïde's small cabinet at the palace. As you can see, VDP was delighted by the chairs!
Ce n'est pas charmant ? C'est le petit cabinet de Madame Adélaïde, fille de Louis XV dans les appartements de mesdames au château. Comme vous pouvez le constater, VDP a été enchantée par les fauteuils !
Pretty fancy for a mere princess! :)
ReplyDeleteA magnificent room, though. And all that gold! The chairs you can have.
tu reves encore d'une maison de poupée et de princesse ;o)) j'aimerais bien tester les fauteuiles , on doit etre bien assis
ReplyDeleteAll the fabrics are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLavish and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm enchanted by those incredible textiles! Too pretty to sit on almost, but what a treat. The entire room is very charming.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, lavish room indeed, and enchanting it is!! Although I have to admit that it's a little too fancy for this old broad!! Love your captures though, as always!!
ReplyDeleteA little too fancy for my taste but it is pretty.
ReplyDeleteOn the two or three occasions I've walked through the palace - and some other places in Europe of similar style - I thought that living there would be suffocating. But it's a matter of place, time and space. Adelaide would be horrified by a Mies building, and think of a visit to the Pompidou!
ReplyDeleteIt's just hard to imagine that people could actually use these works of art as furniture. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteohhh i love the chairs too and the fireplace thingy!
ReplyDeleteAmazing fabric, it must be such a delicate process.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why the round mirrors are so high?
Hi Ciel! Re your question on Florida: That is a nice sidewalk. I've walked on it if that's what you mean when you ask if I've "tried it"?
ReplyDeletePerhaps you were talking about the restaurant. Nope, haven't tried it. But I think that's a good idea. :)
Oui, très charmant!
ReplyDeleteSo posh!
ReplyDeleteMme Adélaïde a des goûts de luxe
ReplyDeleteThe chairs are fantastic! Love the feeling of the room in general.
ReplyDeleteThe charme of Versailles at its best!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, but I will be scared to break them...
ReplyDeleteAren't those chairs something? They look so regal and posh.
ReplyDeletePrincess Adelaide had exquisite taste Ciel... and yes the chairs are divine!
ReplyDeleteIf one was wealthy and could live like the King---it would be wonderful. But us poor peasants---I am sick of straw. LOL MB
