Chez Madame Adélaïde

Isn't this charming? It is princess Adélaïde's small cabinet at the palace. As you can see, VDP was delighted by the chairs!

Ce n'est pas charmant ? C'est le petit cabinet de Madame Adélaïde, fille de Louis XV dans les appartements de mesdames au château. Comme vous pouvez le constater, VDP a été enchantée par les fauteuils !

  1. Pretty fancy for a mere princess! :)

A magnificent room, though. And all that gold! The chairs you can have.

  7. On the two or three occasions I've walked through the palace - and some other places in Europe of similar style - I thought that living there would be suffocating. But it's a matter of place, time and space. Adelaide would be horrified by a Mies building, and think of a visit to the Pompidou!

  8. It's just hard to imagine that people could actually use these works of art as furniture. Nice shots.

  10. Amazing fabric, it must be such a delicate process.

I wonder why the round mirrors are so high?

  11. Hi Ciel! Re your question on Florida: That is a nice sidewalk. I've walked on it if that's what you mean when you ask if I've "tried it"?

Perhaps you were talking about the restaurant. Nope, haven't tried it. But I think that's a good idea. :)

  19. If one was wealthy and could live like the King---it would be wonderful. But us poor peasants---I am sick of straw. LOL MB
