Fontaine

A detail of this fountain in Grand Trianon gardens. The tallest bust in the background represents Alexander the Great. Oh and VDP now has its own Facebook page! Go and have a look here and like!

Détail d'une fontaine au Grand Trianon, le buste sur la colonne la plus haute au second plan représente Alexandre le Grand. Ah et VDP a désormais sa propre page Facebook. Allez y faire un tour ici et "likez" !

  1. LOL, Facebook time! I'm really in the medieval ages without FB:) Gorgeous fountain and detail - Alexander would've been pleased at being the tallest bust!

  5. I really like the color of the patina in the top photo but I know nothing about the chemistry that creates it.

  8. These sculptures are so well done and so elegant. They enrich one's being. Pretty funny how the busts are tucked into the green stuff.

Not on FB, but best wishes with that!

Although I would like to "like" your page, I prefer to remain anonymous and FB doesn't allow that. :(

  11. beautiful fountain but i really love how the busts are tucked into the hedge like that. busts always remind me of a part of the haunted mansion ride at disneyland...i'm pretty sure the first bust i saw was there as a small kid so i guess that is why :D
