2013 Année Le Nôtre : land art au Parc Balbi I

As part of Le Nôtre year, land art has been installed in parc Balbi. This very green 'mecanic field' is by Vincent Leroy. Though there were little signs forbidding entrance, naturally madame had to walk into the field so that monsieur could immortalise the moment...

  1. Of course. I can imagine VP's fuming. He doesn't like contemporary art at all.

  3. There is a tension between the real grass and the "mechanical" version. I think the machines are winning.

  8. What a great link Ciel, he has created some amazing pieces. Did you see on his 'gallery' site, second page..a sculpture very much like my 'Florence' n'est pas!

  9. Are these things metallic. It's an interesting concept, but I'd prefer real flora.

And I'm glad that you've learned that some signs can be disobeyed with alacrity!

  20. I love the bright green color which reminds me of new plant growth backlit by the morning sun.
