Every autumn, the town hall hosts an exhibition of Versailles based artists. Since it was raining pots and buckets AGAIN, that's where I went on Saturday. It is the 10th anniversary of this event hence an 'art post' to greet visitors! I'll be showing you a few of my favourite works this coming week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great place to go and get out of the rain and enjoy at the same time!! Our weather is rain, rain, rain so much of the time here in Seattle and I can identify with you! Looks like a terrific exhibit! Look forward to seeing more, Ciel!! Hope you have a drier week!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame about all of that rain. I like your shot into the light.
ReplyDeleteSign, rain again??!! Have you started building your ark?
ReplyDeleteAt least you had a great place to visit.
I thought of you while watching a show on the Nemours Mansion in Delaware. Evidently, Alfred DuPont had the gardens fashioned after the gardens of Versailles. I need to plan a visit, it's an amazing place. http://www.nemoursmansion.org/
Sorry to hear about MORE rain, but you took a great shot!
ReplyDeleteRain rain go away. Is your work in this exhibit.
ReplyDeleteIl faisait beau ici pendant le week-end! Incroyable! :)
ReplyDeleteOh la la, j'aime l'art et cette photo est magnifique!
Merci pour le partage!
bisous

ReplyDeleteI love that Versailles town hall has a chandelier Ciel, tres romantic.
ReplyDeleteI just had a close encounter with some contemporary art last week...
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an elegant setting for the art exhibition.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was raining "cats and dogs." "Pots and buckets"? Hmmm...well, at least you got to this fine exhibition. Seems to me I remember a similar post from this place last year? Oui? I shall look forward to your other photos in the near future! BTW, why if we say "photos" instead of "fotos," do we say "future," instead of "phuture"? English is a very weird language!
ReplyDeleteHi Ciel: Thanks for your comments today. Re your question on Cedar Key: the "other bird" is a wooden eagle which is supposed to scare away the crows. :-))
ReplyDelete@ Lowell: oui !
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been getting so much rain. :( This is an interesting way to welcome visitors. Can't wait to see more. :)
ReplyDeleteLe bon côté de la pluie : on va voir des expos qu'on n'irait pas voir sinon! :o)
ReplyDeleteSeems like a great way to spend a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteYou have been at an interesting place.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
