Bal mouillé

13 July and this is what the traditional Bastille Day 'people's ball' on Notre-Dame market place looked like. I did not stay nor did I wait until 11:00 pm for the fireworks, though I did hear them from home. How dismal can summer get?! To see last year's ball and fireworks, click on the 'Bastille Day' label below!

  1. Oh the summer you're having - it's late autumn, more like! I peeked & last year's photos are so gorgeous. I hope the weather clears so you get a *real* summer (yes, we got lucky on Sunday, it stormed insanely later :).

  4. Sorry that your summer has been so terrible weather-wise. It's been extremely hot and dry here, which sometimes isn't so nice either. Hope you had a nice Bastille Day anyway. :)

PS: I've got a working computer now!!

  10. Such a striking difference. We are absolutely roasting. The center of our country is in a severe drought. Welcome to climate change.

  13. This is not good. It does not look like fun. It looks very wet and rather chilly.

We usually get thunderstorms in the afternoon because of the clash of cooler air coming off the Gulf of Mexico with the hot air of the day. But our mornings have been very nice. So, I'm off to the golf course.

    Take care and stay dry!
