Nuit des musées 2012 : le système solaire
During the passion for planets evening at the palace, the queen's nobles room was transformed into an extraordinarily wonderful solar system! There are lights on Artsy Versailles.
La chambre des nobles de la reine fut transformée, le temps de la soirée passion des astres, en un système solaire tout à fait extraordinaire ! Il y a des lumières sur Artsy Versailles.
Hey, what's Pluto doing there? Call the police and kick it out.
The design is visually arresting and mysterious but I still find a municipal passion for planets hard to fathom. I mean, why not isotopes or flavors of ice cream or species of ducks?
If you had merely told me about this "passion for the planets" it would have hard to grasp what you were talking about...but your photos make it all very clear and 'tis a fascinating display, indeed.
In this country, sadly, I think too many have sunk back into astrology rather than facing the future with astronomy.
Thank you for visiting and leaving a thought! Sorry about the moderation, a bit tired of spam at the moment!
Merci de votre visite très appréciée et de laisser une pensée ! Désolée de devoir modérer vos commentaires, VDP en a un peu marre des spammeurs en ce moment !
and artsy it is.. wonderful to see.
ReplyDeleteSchwer zu sagen, welches besser ist, gestern oder heute. Werde auf jeden Fall immer besser. Wunderbar wo solches möglich ist.
ReplyDeleteEinen guten Dienstag dir.
Unusual. These are just mannequins?
ReplyDeleteI am blown away by this exhibit, it's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt must be quite a sight considering the setting. Thanks for taking us inside, it's gorgeous.

Amazing display.
ReplyDeleteI love the use of mannequins here - you caught the low light gorgeously!
ReplyDelete@ Jack: yes, mannequins.
ReplyDelete@ Bob: it draws on the history of the palace. Modern science had just begun and the kings were interested and encouraged it.
Ces boules lumineuses font un effet magique! la mise en scene est vraiment tres reussie!
