Street names/noms de rues I

Posting early again. The scheduling problem affects the old and the new Blogger interface. So... what do these people, with the exception of Saint Lazarus, have in common? The palace of course! Let's see... To Charles Le Brun (strangely spelled in one word on this sign) Versailles owes the ceiling of the famous hall of mirrors. Boulevard de la reine, of course, is the queen's boulevard. Pierre de Nolhac was the historian, art historian and poet who became curator of the palace in 1892. You all know king Louis XIV by now... VDP is taking a break, see you soon!

Je poste tôt encore aujourd'hui, le bug de programmation Blogger affecte aussi bien la nouvelle que l'ancienne interface Blogger. Alors, qu'ont en commun ces personnes, à l'exception de Saint Lazare ? Le château, pardi ! Voyons : à Charles Le Brun (étrangement orthographié ici en un mot), le grand peintre du XVIIè siècle, nous devons à Versailles le plafond de la galerie des glaces. Pour ce qui est de Pierre de Nolhac, la plaque vous en dit déjà beaucoup ! Quant à Louis XIV, je ne le présente plus ! VDP prend quelques jours de congés, à bientôt !
