I like the window, too. But the door...that would make a good cover for a mystery novel, as I'm sure someone is hiding in the shadow ready to pop out and get you! I'm also thinking the door is rather skinny...it would be difficult to get a large piece of furniture through it. Or maybe it just looks that way 'cause of the shadow.
Love the details Ciel, and yes I did notice the birdhouse. Are you not a coffee drinker either? Maybe a nice cup of Earl Grey tea, that's always my alternative when I don't have coffee.
You're right, charming is the best word for this scene! Lucky you having so many blooming flower around. Here we still have to wait, but not too long, I hope:) Hugs

Wie für einen Roman. Einen guten.
ReplyDeleteune belle photo, ombre et lumiere dans cette cour
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Ciel. You had lovely, warm afternoon light. The green doors look especially good in this light.
ReplyDeleteNice green door, Ciel. I don't think we have seen that color before?
ReplyDeleteAnd it's mysterious, too. A barred window, a very green door - unusual - makes me want to know whet is inside.
ReplyDeleteThe shadowed door intrigues one to look for more.
ReplyDeleteLovely. I like the green door.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite shot of this cour. And the new color is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteJolies couleurs, lignes sobres et simples, belle ambiance, ombres et lumières..Magnifique photo!
ReplyDeleteRien a ajouter a la belle simplicite de cette photo.
ReplyDeleteI checked your other photos of the courtyard. Your scene today has a charming splash of color compared to the others.
ReplyDeleteBonjour chère Ciel,

The warm sunlight is casting wonderful shadows. They must have an inside courtyard, I see a birdhouse on the inside.
ReplyDeleteI like the green door and the window is a perfect complement!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are really nice. So are the lines and shadows. :)
ReplyDelete@ Woody: it seems you are the only one who spotted the birdhouse! :-)

I love the green door. I love it all, the mystery and shadows.
ReplyDeleteI always forget about Wednesday doorways. MB

Lovely to see...
ReplyDeleteA very soft shade of green. I'm glad the birdhouse was pointed out. I missed it, but it does add to the charm of the photo.
ReplyDeleteCharming indeed with that light, green door and I even like that shadow at the bottom!
ReplyDeleteYou find the best doors!
