Mariage ensoleillé...

The good thing about going to see an exhibition at the town hall is that you can also watch weddings with the traditional salute when someone in your family or among your mates happens to be an officer (and a gent)!

Ce qui est cool avec les expos le samedi à la mairie, c'est qu'on y voit aussi les mariés...

  5. I give up. What happened on the left side of your top photo?

Vermeer? You are very well informed. He liked female figures near windows on the left, didn't he?

  7. The blur effect is very nice, a good offset to the, ahem, sharpness of the swords.

  8. Very stylish. I photographed a wedding once where the groom , a baker, had this type of salute, but with french loaves!!

  12. Hi Ciel, gosh I've missed your beautiful pictures of Versailles, loved the pics of the art show and have to say the way you've photographed the town hall it looks like a wonderful artwork in itself, the perfect place to hold such a splendid wedding! Thanks heaps for your good wishes over the last few days, hope you have a fab weekend.

  13. This is a lovely photograph, and I like the way you blurred part of it to cover identities...

Sounds like you kind fell into this one. Serendipity provides the opportunity for some great photos.

Re your question on The Villages: We didn't see a movie. We were there because a friend of ours has a new book out and she's giving a special presentation in April and there's a big poster announcing the event in the lobby (where you also buy tickets for it) and on the poster is a photograph of our author friend which was taken by moi!

Thank you for all of your wonderful comments. More skies coming from Lake Sumter Landing...
