Massive, closed doors like this put me off a bit. You may not enter. As a person with little respect for authority I usually find an entrance like this annoying.
This is pristine, as if the doors were painted yesterday and the masons just put their chisels down. It feels a bit cool, but it is certainly great workmanship.

ReplyDeleteI'm not accustomed to christian places of worship being called temples. Regardless, it's quite the grand entrance!

ReplyDeleteVery classical looking doorway.
ReplyDeleteNice, there's a coldness to this yet a softness too.
ReplyDeleteClassic doorway Ciel, I was trying to figure out if they were real bolt hinges or just for effect.
ReplyDeleteSobriete par dessus tout.

ReplyDeleteAwesome doorway! I like the color of the door itself and the decorations above. Your protestant church is in a much better shape than ours!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful doorway with fantastic details. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the corbel.
ReplyDeleteDarn Calvinists are everywhere! :-)
ReplyDeleteNice entry to their "temple," though!
