After the palace, the town hall! I had shown you the mural like scaffolding at the palace here. I saw this at the Town Hall on Sunday, announcing 2013, Versailles garden town, Le Nôtre year! For information about Le Nôtre, click here. These sunflowers are growing right next to the town hall!
Bon, après le château avec son échafaudage trompe-l'oeil que je vous montrais ici, voilà la mairie telle que vue dimanche ! Donc, 2013, année Le Nôtre ! Les tournesols, c'est juste devant la mairie !
Great to hear about 2013.
ReplyDeleteThe Sunflowers are beautiful.
Super photos, and it sounds like a great garden guy is getting his just reward next year.

This will give you many good photo opportunities. Love the sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your good wishes. Hurricane Irene is aimed right at Hartford with strong winds and lots of rain. Unless there is a major change of direction, losing power is almost certain and it probably won't return for quite a while. I don't need the excitement.
Great shots to start your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey do such clever advertisements, but 2013??!!
ReplyDeleteThe sunflowers are beautiful and the background is magnificent!
We will be ok, thanks for asking. We're expecting most of the wind and rain over night Saturday into Sunday.

ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea, if the world will not end in 2012...
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast on top. And the sunflowers, of course.
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking when you showed The Palace shot what a good idea it was to hide the renovations this way, I think this mural is just as beautiful Ciel and of course the sunflowers are just the right finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteI like that the town hall has a garden. More town halls should brighten-up their cities with flowers! It would make us photographers happy :^)
