Carpaccio
Beef carpaccio for dinner at the XXL Café near Notre-Dame covered market in the sticky heat on Saturday! Sorry about the blurred faces, you know my privacy issues...
Dîner dans la chaleur moite samedi soir au XXL Café près des Halles Notre-Dame.
That meal is so beautifully presented and looks just sooooo healthy! I usually prefer my meat cooked, but Aimee and I are on a diet AGAIN! and I think I would probably not have a problem eating just about anything put in front of me haha! The food must be good Ciel, Cafe XXL is packed!!
I don't eat much beef, but carpaccio is an exception. Salmon carpaccio is great too. I do have certain privacy issues too, but as you know, I take street and other people shots. Still, I try not to present anyone in a most unflattering way. I can only hope that the times I am photographed myself I am given the same courtesy. :-)
My children have gotten me eating raw fish so why not beef, too? It looks pretty. We won't be offered anything so nice on the planes tonight and tomorrow.
We're sitting in the airport in St. Louis with our flight to Chicago running over an hour late due to bad thunderstorms there. Still plenty of time on the connection.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful plate to see...
ReplyDeleteThat's ok about the faces. Everybody thinks my husbands name is Tom... :)
ReplyDeleteUne salade appetissante et rafraichissante pour la chaleur d'ete. Tres joli !
ReplyDeleteRefreshing in these "dog days of summer" !
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice dinner.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be yummy! Love both of the photos.
ReplyDeleteI trust that the cafe is not named XXL to suggest that would be the size of clothes that you would need if you eat there a lot.
ReplyDeleteLooks good but I prefer mine cooked. That poopr waiter, now everyone will be recognising him in Versailles!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun place to eat and you've picked a delicious entree!
ReplyDeleteI din't blur the carpaccio, which seems exquisite!
ReplyDeleteFor me, faces are a part of the passing parade... so important in street candids.

ReplyDeleteThe food on the plate looks good although I don't eat beef...this is tempting, however.
ReplyDeleteLot of folks outside enjoying the hot, sticky weather!
Fin à souhait ce carpaccio! Mmmm!
ReplyDeleteWho cares about the faces when that dish looks so good! :D
ReplyDeleteUn été chaud, un carpaccio! :o) curieux que la tente n'indique que le n° de telephone!

ReplyDeleteThat looks like a popular place to eat! I like how they displayed their phone number. :)

First it was the colourful gateaux, then cheese and now this! You want to kill me... :-) Carpaccio is my favourite starter!
