  2. What do you mean by "peckish"? Here it refers to being rather crabby or cranky. Whatever, I'm sure I'd have no problem finding something to soothe my soul at Guinon patisserie!

  17. Here in Australia "peckish" means feeling like something to eat - preferably sweet! So to me you have used the word well! These are so very beautiful and tempting!

    Funny, I remember the first time I learned the word peckish, in translation school in Israel in the 80s. It sounded so funny, and still does.
