Nous avions un jardin dans les Vosges ceint de pierres comme ici où nous entrions en courbant l'échine par une porte basse sur un coté. Ce mur était couvert de roses anciennes pâles non remontantes et simples ; sur la loge de jardinier était palissé un rosier de toutes petites roses rouges qui ressemblaient à des oeillets, tout à fait comme celles-ci....

Beautiful! It makes me think of all the Bougainvillaeas in full bloom around here now. Gladly they will remain that colourful until next October/November.

This is about as pretty as it gets. What a great way to give yourself a "welcome home." I'm guessing the flowers are roses or azaleas... Yes?
