First day of the month is Theme Day: 'under construction'. So, last Sunday, I drove off in the car, I knew something under construction would be hard to find. Restoration or renovation would have been easy-peasy, but not construction. I drove, drove, drove and finally saw this scene in Notre-Dame neighbourhood. I believe there's a hole behind the construction fence destined to keep prying eyes and feet out. The blue door at the end of the street is Notre-Dame cemetary which you can find by clicking on the 'graveyard' label below. Happy June! Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

I'm so excited to be the first to comment. Only you could make a construction scene so charming with your use of color, Ciel. Have a great week!

How nice not to run into construction may times on your route.
ReplyDeletehow peaceful and friendly it looks.
ReplyDeleteplease have a good new month.

Very clever post; you're a very clever girl!
ReplyDeleteI would never have figured that blue door as an entrance to a cemetery!
Great capture. Interesting how PDP had the same challenge.
ReplyDeleteConstruction sites don't look this nice in Canada. The colour of the fence makes such a difference, and the neighbourhood (including the cemetery) is beautiful.

I love the green! Enjoy your first day of Summer.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you had the energy to go looking for theme images. I didn't. I like the translucent green fencing.
ReplyDeleteOnly the French could make a construction scene look so elegant, or it might be the way you've captured it Ciel, really enjoyed the Viennese music that accompanied your image.
ReplyDeleteLovely hording, Ciel. In Sydney many construction sites have viewing platforms to encourage the public to have a 'sticky-beak'.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same as Julie, as there is ususally an obsevation hole for passers by to have a peak.
ReplyDeleteThe nice fence and sign are promise of things to come.
ReplyDeleteGood hunting, Ciel.
et tu n'as pas regardé par le trou?
ReplyDeleteThose colors are so familiar, I usually try to sneak a peek between the panels,,,
ReplyDeleteHere, they LOVE to rip stuff up in summer. So 'under construction' is EVERYWHERE! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhat a dedicated CDP blogger you are! And the new music is lovely.
ReplyDeleteinteresting colors. A few years ago, a similar fence was used around a graveyard because they were relocating the graves. Bad karma.
ReplyDeleteConstruction is easy to find here, just drive on any road :-(
So the colours of construction in France are green and grey? Orange here. :)
ReplyDeleteCheerful colour! Construction sites usually are so ugly and boring... :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat!!!! It's June already. I guess I'd better turn my calendars over they are still on April.
ReplyDeleteI forgot all about theme day. Phooey! MB
I love that green. What a pretty construction site. I love how one side of the blue cemetery door is open. Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteOh the colors are gorgeous in this photo! With a city full of history, I guess it's hard to find new construction :D
ReplyDeleteGreat photo for theme day!
Love the green in this fence. I'm sure you had fun out on your safari looking for construction.
ReplyDeleteLove you new music too!
On prend un chantier lambda , et tu arrives à en tirer quelque chose de joli! cette succession de verts est superbe!
ReplyDeleteUnusually bright for a construction area. A tip of the hat to you for being so motivated...and driving around for a construction shot!
ReplyDeleteI too like the succession of green colors (my favorite). It is elegant looking for a construction site.
ReplyDeleteWell, it might have taken some work, but your picture today is a big success. Those green panels are unusual, but they make a mundane construction project almost artful.
ReplyDelete@ all: the green fence is the regular fence used in France for constructions.
ReplyDeleteYour long drive paid off! Oh, the lengths we CDP bloggers go for our blogs and blog followers!
ReplyDeleteHappy theme day from EAGAN
I love the bright color on the fence! Now you will have a challenge over going back a year from now and showing us what was constructed.
ReplyDeleteNice take on the theme. No problem finding something here, they're building something everywhere.
ReplyDeleteIf it's hard to find a construction site in Versailles it must mean buildings are not getting knocked down and rebuilt as they often do elsewhere. Good news. Lovely photo -you got just the right angle. Love the green panels!
ReplyDeleteGotta love your persistence... I can almost see you behind the wheel swearing for some construction site to show up... :-D But how great is it that you live without that blight!
